7D6N Bario Loop / Southern Trail
Itinerary

| Day 1 |

(Lunch, Dinner provided)
Leave on a morning flight to Bario, reaching at mid-morning. Transfer
to lodge.
The rest of the morning is spent at own leisure, meeting and
socializing with the friendly locals at the Bario “Town
Centre”.
After lunch, enjoy a walk to visit the longhouses within Bario valley
such as Ulung Palang, Bario Asal, Arul Dalan.
Visit a pineapple garden and have a taste of the famous Bario pineapple.

| Day 2 |

After breakfast, trek to Pa’ Main.
On the way stop over at Pa’ Umor village and a salt lick where
the famous Bario Salt is produced. The trek passes through both
secondary and primary jungle.
Overnight at a shelter at Pa’ Main.

| Day 3 |

Trek to Long Dano. Again the trek passes through both primary and
secondary jungle and some streams.
Arrive at Long Dano in the afternoon. Rest of the day is at own
leisure, relaxing and mixing with the local communities.
An alternative is to proceed on to Pa’Dalih and overnight at this
village situated very close to the Indonesian border.

| Day 4 |

Trek on to Pa’ Dalih and onward to Ramudu. Have a short stop at
this longhouse before trekking to Ramudu.

| Day 5 |

Trek from Ramudu to Pa’ Berang.
Stay overnight at Pa’ Berang if you would like (recommended).

| Day 6 |

Trek back to Bario valley. Rest of the day is at own leisure. Overnight
at Lodge.

| Day 7 |

(Breakfast provided)
After breakfast, transfer to Bario airport for flight back to Miri.

| Recommended items to bring |

Torch light, raincoat, walking shoes with good grip,
slippers, water bottle for drinking, swim wear, towel, insect repellent
and personal items.

The above itineraries may be modified, especially in
terms of the place for overnight stop, depending on the walking
capabilities and fitness of the trekkers. Some walk faster than others
or may choose to spend a full day at certain longhouse. However, the
duration of each package will remain the same. |
