Tour begins with a drive through the town for an overview of its
cultural history and development, passing the Chinese Temple and
the Resident’s administrative office. Following the Miri Center,
Miri Resource Centre, Chinese Temple, Taoist Temple, modern and
trendy shopping malls, Oil/Gas Complex, Piasau Camp.
Visit the Miri Heritage Center, an arts and crafts hub. (Many different
ethnic groups in Northern Sarawak produce a wide variety of handicrafts
ranging from the Iban Pua Kumbu cloth to Kenyah woodcarvings and
Lun Bawang tree bark products.)
Follow that is a visit to Canada Hill, offering
a panoramic view of the city from the Canada Hill Lookout, and a visit to the Petroleum
Science Museum at Oil Well No. 1 on Canada Hill.
Our final destination
is the Tamu or market where farmers sell jungle produce, vegetables,
fruits and poultry. |
