This tour includes Kuching Waterfront, Kuching Chinatown (the
oldest street in the city and the heart of old Kuching), Tua Pek
Kong Temple, the Civic Centre Viewing Platform (offers the best
all-around views of Kuching), and the Sarawak Museum (has one of
the best collections in Southeast Asia).
Proceeding along the river you will see villages built on stilts,
Fort Margherita, the State Mosque and the Astana, the former residence
of the White Rajahs. Pass by the heritage and historic buldings
of the White Rajah era, the Square Tower, the Court House, the Pavilion
Building, the Charles Brooke Monument and the Post Office.
Finally, a visit to a typical Sarawak Pottery Factory to view the potters
at work. |
